Hi. I'm Josh.
I'm Josh Van Cleef. I'm a former insurance geek turned Rails developer turned product professional, amongst other things. I have a great role with Ontada leading product for our Clear Value Plus application, which has helped almost a million cancer patients get the best possible care. Before that, I worked as a consultant with places like Pixelgrazer, Envy Labs, and Smashing Boxes. A little more work info is here. My favorite thing is to take someone's vision and make it a reality through technology.
I spend most of my time bridging the gap between engineering and a broad array of stakeholders. In my current role, that can include physicians and pharmacists, executives, sales & marketing, and medical researchers. I excel at bringing diverse people together to support a common vision, and translating that into a product roadmap with actionable stories for efficient development.
I live in Durham, NC with my wife, our elementary school student, and our dog. I love the outdoors, particularly on two wheels with a number taped to the handlebars. If I'm lucky, I might be on vacation at a race track, theme park, or national park somewhere.
